"Hi everyone, my name is Tammy, and I work on the administrative side with Outdoor Solutions. I was fortunate to grow up learning to love the outdoors through the guidance of three people in my life – fishing with my great mimaw, and hunting with my grandpa and dad. I learned a lot of life lessons from them as well as a passion for the outdoors. I was lucky to marry the love of my life and that we shared with our children our love of the outdoors from an early age. Through this, I believe they learned life values to become good people while making memories that will last a lifetime. I hope they will continue to share their passions while building their families.
In 2012, I was able to combine my outdoor passion by working behind the scenes at Krooked River Ranch / Texas Best Outfitters. I learned the hospitality aspect of the business as a cook and housekeeper. This may not seem glamorous, but I loved interacting with our clients and living vicariously through their experiences from 'in the field.' Everyone you met was an instant friend or even a new family member! I later moved to the home office working admin and contracts - communicating with clients directly. While working with this outfitter I met Greg Ray of the then NRA Outdoors. From there, I became the Lodge Manager at the T-Diamond Lodge with Guitar Outfitters and again had the opportunity to work with Greg and the Outdoor Solutions crew. Who knew later down the road that I would be able to join the Outdoors Solutions Team and continue working in this field and making new friends! I believe that I’m
blessed and proof that the saying is true 'That if you do what you love that you never work a day in your life!'"
